On the day, they'll be in position 15-20 minutes early with a telephoto lens to capture every moment from your approach to the ring reveal to your partner's genuine reaction. They'll dress casually and position themselves to look like a tourist, a local enjoying the view, or a casual street photographer — common sights at Portugal's popular viewpoints and landmarks. They use telephoto lenses so they can shoot from 15-30 meters away without being noticed. Your photographer will send you their photo beforehand so you can recognize them and avoid accidentally drawing attention. After the proposal, you can surprise your partner with the news that everything was captured, or keep it a secret and reveal the photos later. Portugal enjoys over 300 days of sunshine per year, but your photographer will always have a backup plan ready. They'll prepare 2-3 alternative covered or indoor locations that are equally beautiful — such as tiled courtyards, historic arcades, covered terraces, or botanical garden pavilions.
