Photoshoots in Albufeira start from €279, with most one- to two-hour packages between €279 and €450 depending on duration, the number of edited photos and how many beaches you visit. The old town and Praia dos Pescadores are walkable, while São Rafael and Falésia need a short drive, which usually means a longer booking.

The whitewashed stairways of the old town and the tunnel down to Praia do Peneco, the fishing boats on Praia dos Pescadores, the rock arches at Praia de São Rafael, the low cliffs and clear water at Olhos de Água, and the long orange wall of Praia da Falésia running east towards Vilamoura.

July and August are hot and genuinely crowded, with the beaches full from mid-morning — but sunrise at São Rafael is empty even then, and the town's late nights mean quiet mornings. May, June, September and October are warm with room to work. Winter is mild, quiet and often bright, with the sun low enough to light the cliff faces.

More than almost anywhere else on this coast. At high water the coves at São Rafael and Coelha shrink to a strip and the arches cannot be reached at all; around low tide the sand opens up and you can walk between the formations. Aim for the two hours either side of low water, and remember the base of the cliffs loses the sun first.

It depends on the photographer. Many studio photographers run their own space and include it in the session fee — check the package description on their profile. Others book a third-party studio per session and pass the cost through (typically €40–€100 depending on city and studio size). For clarity, the price shown on Photo Portugal includes everything unless the photographer's profile says otherwise. If you're unsure, message the photographer before booking — they'll confirm whether studio rental is bundled.

Most 60-minute studio sessions include 2–3 outfit changes; 90-minute sessions allow 3–4. Studios have changing areas, mirrors, and full-length lighting for outfit checks. Bring outfits on hangers (less wrinkled) and shoes that match — feet often appear in editorial-style shots. For headshots specifically, one neutral top + one professional/business top is enough; for personal branding or editorial, more variety helps. Your photographer will guide which outfits photograph best against the chosen backdrop.
