Book a Studio Portrait Session
in Leiria

It depends on the photographer. Many studio photographers run their own space and include it in the session fee — check the package description on their profile. Others book a third-party studio per session and pass the cost through (typically €40–€100 depending on city and studio size). For clarity, the price shown on Photo Portugal includes everything unless the photographer's profile says otherwise. If you're unsure, message the photographer before booking — they'll confirm whether studio rental is bundled.

Most 60-minute studio sessions include 2–3 outfit changes; 90-minute sessions allow 3–4. Studios have changing areas, mirrors, and full-length lighting for outfit checks. Bring outfits on hangers (less wrinkled) and shoes that match — feet often appear in editorial-style shots. For headshots specifically, one neutral top + one professional/business top is enough; for personal branding or editorial, more variety helps. Your photographer will guide which outfits photograph best against the chosen backdrop.

Yes, and it's a popular request. A 2-hour session typically splits 60 minutes in studio (clean headshots, editorial portraits) and 60 minutes outdoors (lifestyle, contextual). The photographer will pick a nearby outdoor location so transit doesn't eat into shoot time — common pairings are studio + miradouro in Lisbon, studio + Foz beach in Porto, studio + marina in Cascais. Mention this when booking and the photographer will plan logistics, including outfit swaps for indoor/outdoor needs.

Photoshoots in Leiria start from €310, with most one- to two-hour packages between €310 and €450 depending on duration, the number of edited photos and the locations covered. Sessions that add the coast at São Pedro de Moel, twenty-five minutes away, usually need a longer booking. Edited galleries usually arrive within about a week.

The hilltop castle with its arched royal loggia looking over the rooftops, the arcaded Praça Rodrigues Lobo, the gardens and bridges along the Lis, the pines of the Pinhal de Leiria, and the quiet Atlantic sand and low cliffs at São Pedro de Moel. Batalha and its monastery are a fifteen-minute drive if you want Gothic stone as well.

The castle catches the last light beautifully and the town below stays uncrowded even in August, which is rare in Portugal. Summers are warm inland while the coast stays fresher and windier. Note that the fires of 2017 burned much of the Pinhal de Leiria; the older stands near São Pedro de Moel are the ones still worth photographing.
