You can visit and take handheld photos, but it is a small, dim, ticketed chapel with a constant queue, and a posed session inside is not welcome — it is still a place of prayer, with no tripods and no flash. For portraits with the same weight of history, the cathedral terrace, the Roman temple at dusk and the aqueduct street give you far more room to work.

Full-day packages of up to 16 hours are available for extended celebrations that start with morning preparations and continue through a late-night party or after-party.
